The Businesswoman of the Year Competition is organized by Success Written in Lipstick Foundation, which for the last 8 years has been consistently and effectively awarding numbers of successful women in business, science and art, offering them opportunities for development and acquisition of new business partners and investors by giving their success nationwide publicity and establishing women’s networking circles. The objective of the competition is to honour entrepreneurial and creative women who undertake ambitious projects, as well as to present and publicize their success in order to reinforce the role of females in the economic life of our country.

The competition consists of three stages.

STAGE I: The strategic partner and auditor – Deloitte, conduct the preliminary shortlisting. Selected candidates are invited to the second stage.
STAGE II: Experts in different categories chooses best applications and select the finalists.
STAGE III: Jury members select the laureates.


Jury

The jury is composed of leading representatives of the business world and largest companies in Poland. The jury is chaired by Dr. Irena Eris, the creator of a strong and globally recognized brand that continues to contribute to the development of a positive image of Poland.

1. Ability to utilize and realize a novel idea to generate business benefits.

1. Implementation of and continuous search for creative improvements.
2. Ability to create competitive advantage and unique sales propositions.

FINANCIAL PERFORMANCE
1. Demonstrating stable business growth and effectiveness of completed projects.
2. Effectiveness of undertaken investments and sales activities.


About Initiator

Success Written in Lipstick
(pol.: Sukces Pisany Szminką) is the first Polish organization to provide comprehensive support and promotion for women’s activities in the areas of science, culture and business. It was founded in 2008 by the initiative of Olga Kozierowska. The stimuli for its creation were both a growing need to strengthen the position and appreciate the role of women in social and economic life as well as personal experience and beliefs of the founder. The mission of Success Written in Lipstick is: firstly, to inspire women to undertake challenging activities, secondly, to publicize their achievements nationwide, and thirdly, to provide them with professional knowledge they require for personal and career development.
